The Calling:

Branching Minds is looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team as an MTSS Practice Lead. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting our sales efforts by providing deep expertise in MTSS, education systems, and technology integration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large school district administration or educational technology, coupled with a strong grasp of MTSS best practices.

What You Will Achieve:

Sales Support

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and tailor solutions that align with MTSS frameworks and school-system requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance and support, both internally and externally, during client presentations, product demonstrations, and proposal development.
  • Develop content for sales team training related to MTSS best practices and the ways in which the Branching Minds platform supports MTSS frameworks and addresses specific educator concerns.
  • Act as a key resource for responding to technical inquiries and providing in-depth explanations of MTSS-related features and benefits of our solutions.

Customer Consultation

  • Engage with potential and existing clients to understand their MTSS implementation challenges and goals.
  • Offer insights and recommendations on how Branching Minds' solutions can address specific needs and enhance their MTSS strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth technical deep dives to understand and explain how the Branching Minds platform integrates with district infrastructure, such as SSO, Clever, Classlink, Student Information Systems and Behavior Management Platforms
  • Provide technical documentation and guidance on integration processes, including user provisioning, platform configuration, and reporting capabilities to ensure successful implementation and long-term platform adoption.

Educational Expertise

  • Leverage extensive knowledge of school systems and MTSS best practices to inform product development and refinement.
  • Stay current with educational trends, policy changes, and best practices in MTSS to provide relevant and up-to-date information.

Presentation and Training

  • Develop and deliver high-quality presentations, webinars, and training sessions for clients and internal teams.
  • Create and refine educational materials and resources to support effective MTSS implementation and understanding.
  • Submit proposals to present at relevant conferences, showcasing expertise in MTSS and contributing to broader educational conversations.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with the product development team to provide feedback on product features and improvements based on client interactions and market needs.
  • Support warm handoffs between sales and customer success for enterprise accounts.
  • Foster strong relationships with educational leaders and stakeholders to enhance our reputation as a trusted MTSS expert. 

Requirements

Why We Want You:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a role related to MTSS, education administration, or education technology. Experience within large school district administration or with educational technology products is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Deep understanding of school systems, MTSS frameworks, and best practices. Demonstrated knowledge of how educational technology integrates with MTSS.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and engagingly. 
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms. Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving client needs and market trends.

  • Sales, customer success or professional development experience with a SaaS K12 education company

Interview Process:

If we are a match you can expect a total of 3 steps in the interview process after the initial application

  • 30-minute Video/Phone Interview with the Chief Academic Officer
  • 45-minute Deep Dive with the VP for Strategic Accounts
  • 60-minute Final Round with Sales, Learning Science and Professional Service team leads with a written exercise prompt to submit in advance

  • The range of our base salary cash compensation is between $107,000-$126,000. Final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience, level of expertise, and geographic location.
