The Mid-Market Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within the mid-market segment. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies to acquire new clients, manage existing accounts, and meet revenue targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales leadership skills, a deep understanding of the mid-market space, the broker and consultant community, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Essential Functions: 

    •  Develop and implement sales strategies to target and capture mid-market opportunities. Achieve goals and objectives for sales performance within the mid-market segment 

    •  Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the mid-market segment within your territory. Generate leads, conduct prospecting activities, and close deals to expand the client base 

    •  Drive awareness and manage relationships with brokers and consultants in your territory. Understand their business needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention 

    •  Prepare and maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline and reports keeping your pipeline updated in Salesforce, and provide regular updates to your manager. Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to meet revenue targets and sales goals 

    •  Provide support to help your team members achieve as a true team does 

    •  Contribute on team calls and provide insights from the market to Marketing and Product teams to share awareness and understanding around industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs within the mid-market segment. Use insights to inform sales strategies and tactics. 

    •  Work closely with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Product, Customer Success) to align sales efforts with company-wide objectives. Coordinate with Marketing to develop targeted campaigns and promotional activities. 

    •  Develop and deliver presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to potential clients. Communicate the value of our products or services effectively to address client needs and close sales. 

    •  Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and agreements with clients. Ensure that contracts meet company standards and align with business objectives. 

    •  Prepare and present regular sales reports and performance metrics to senior management. Provide insights and recommendations based on sales data and market conditions. 

    •  Attend industry events and conference representing Vori

Who You Are: 

  • Required: 

    •  Proven experience focusing on mid-market clients. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing broker and consultant relationships 

    •  Proven experience owning and managing a large territory of mid-market clients 

    •  Strong understanding of the mid-market segment, including industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics 

    •  Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain client and partner relationships 

    •  Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales management tools. 

    •  Analytical skills with experience in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking. 

    •  Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive and results-driven approach. 

  • Nice-to-Haves: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.  

 

  • Work authorization/security clearance requirements: 

    • Authorized or able to provide required documents to work in United States 

 

  • Physical Requirements/Work Environment: 

    • Remote work environment. 

    •  While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
