Job Description SummaryThe Medical Advisor will work both independently as well as part of the Medical Affairs field team, while successfully managing multi-state territory of hospitals and private-physician offices. This position is entirely field based with minimal supervision required, following initial training. The Medical Advisor is a key partner and medical expert for nuclear cardiology imaging products within Pharmaceutical Diagnostics. The role has some autonomy and is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.

Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and clinical expertise to support the commercialization and development of pharmaceutical products.

  • Offer product, clinical and software knowledge within cardiac PET modality in support of GE Healthcare’s radiopharmaceutical portfolio (Cardiology) including quantification software from INVIA, Cedars, Syntermed, etc

  • Develop and provide medical education and expert training to technologists and healthcare professionals (HCPs)

  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to cultivate strong HCP relationships, and serves as the interface between HCPs and GE.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support educational or product-related activities such as image reviews, quantification demo, technical or product reading support

  • Present on GEHC MI products at conferences, speaking events, HCP events as needed to support clinical education

  • Communicate all relevant product and/or HCP concerns or opportunities to the internal teams regarding technical and clinical issues

  • Provide medical expertise and support to projects led by US/Canada Medical Affairs and other cross-functional projects, such as advisory boards, educational activities, clinical study support as necessary

  • Demonstrate full awareness of and compliance with all SOPs and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. Proactively identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate action as required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or Master’s degree) plus a minimum of 8 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine technologist with specific Cardiology modality experience

  • CNMT or equivalent specific Nuclear Medicine modality certification

  • Minimum 2 years clinical or Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry experience in any of the following: Cardiology, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine

  • Demonstrated presentation skills through listed lectures or evidence of teaching

  • Required to travel up to 3-4 days per week (and possibly weekend) within US via multiple modes of transportation (car, flight, train)

  • Proficient use of software applications, such as, Windows Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and navigating other computer and web-based tools (intranet/internet/apps)

  • Located anywhere in the continental United States near a major airport

Desired Characteristics

  • Preferred experience with multi-vendor cardiac PET systems and imaging

  • Desired familiarity with viewing software by INVIA, Cedars, Syntermed, etc

  • Self-starting, confident team player with exceptional attention to detail

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $115,200.00-$172,800.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
