Field Marketing Director
As a Field Marketing Director, a typical day to include the following:
At Alight, marketing and sales work as an integrated team owning the financial sales targets for the business. We are looking for a Field Marketing Director to join our North America Demand Generation team. This role is critical in reaching the marketing pipeline goals and targets, aligned to the sales revenue targets. This person will be responsible for leading the demand generation efforts for Alight’s strategic account team, and managing the ABM field marketers who work cross-functionally with sales, business development to build and execute persona-centric integrated marketing programs to expand business within Alight’s strategic account base.
Key areas of responsibility:
Drive business growth through disruptive marketing strategies including direct marketing, channel marketing, ABM, and digital programs to deliver on the pipeline, bookings, customer experience, and brand outcomes.
Work with the team to create, execute, and analyze account-based marketing programs that create a differentiated customer experience to engage and convert key accounts.
Manage, train, coach and lead a team of field marketing managers who are focused on the driving revenue to Alight’s strategic accounts with ABM efforts.
Align and work with various cross functional teams to drive results and execute highly effective integrated campaigns that are aligned to business objectives.
Partner with sales leadership on defined target setting, planning, and to ensure there is collaboration and clear communication between the teams.
Work with the team to create, execute, and analyze account-based marketing programs to engage and convert key accounts.
Measure and analyze marketing campaign results, demand waterfall, marketing vehicles, and vendors, to find ways to improve efficiency and ROI.
Establish a regular reporting and communication cadence with marketing leadership and sales counterparts.
Meet or exceed annual targets and growth plans.
Work with the team to leverage integrated and multi-channel campaign materials to develop and execute measurable demand creation programs that drive market awareness and revenue.
Interlock with SDR teams and SDR leadership to create a consistent experience from marketing through targeted outbound prospecting campaigns.
Manage programs to adhere to the revenue marketing budget.
Research, choose, design, and manage live events to be included as tactics in the overall marketing mix, ensuring a cohesive pre-event, at-event, and post-event strategy to increase engagement and response rates.
Evaluate, select, and manage vendors that contribute to local demand marketing programs, including event venues and services, digital marketing, advertising and content, designers, copywriters, and data providers.
Analyze local pipeline volume, performance, and forecasts, including specific views for segments and sales reps.
Conduct local buyer journey mapping (as needed).
Develop and implement pipeline acceleration programs jointly with sales.
Required experience and skills:
Leadership expertise with remote working teams across complex and matrixed environment.
Experience with customer nurture/ABM programs with demonstrable success.
Prior B2B marketing experience, preferably within the benefits, payroll, and/or HCM technology space.
Skills with reporting, analyzing data and uncovering ways to optimize performance.
Knowledge and experience executing modern marketing channels, including but not limited to virtual events, conferences, webinars, email, direct mail and digital advertising.
Creative thinker who is adept at working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable adding new ideas.
Ability to think strategically, prioritize tasks, and execute with attention to detail.
Energetic, high performer with a willingness to take initiative and be resourceful.
Excellent presentation skills and confidence in communicating with senior level sales directors.
Ability to develop people: Coaches people in their current roles to improve performance and prepares them for future roles.
Track record of creating partnerships with sales leaders.
Strong cross-departmental collaboration skills – generating demand as one team.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing (preferred) or equivalent work experience
