Job Summary 

As a manager, this role will optimize service delivery and drive improvements in processes, people, and infrastructure related to “return-to-work” and “stay-at-work” services in the Absence & Disability Services department.

  • Partner with key internal stakeholders such as marketing, sales and service, legal, absence and disability claims, as well as external vendors to ensure operational and strategic goals are met.  

  • Effectively engage and lead the team comprised of clinical disability and accommodation experts as they deliver services and oversee individual customer accommodation programs. Continual focus on improving customer experience.  

  • Maintain, manage, and improve technology and reporting utilized in the delivery of services. Leverage existing technology infrastructure and emerging technologies such as automation and AI to gain efficiencies and improve customer experience.  

  • Maintain on-going expertise through conference attendance and other industry training. Be point of contact for escalated service issues and associated resolution.  

  • Support sales and retention of business through sales presentations, site visits, and customer visits, providing disability, ADA, and leave subject matter expertise. 

  • Provide consultative work with specific employers on worksite, ergonomic issues, program development, absence process integration, ADA and other areas related to disability management, productivity & absence management.  

Skills and Background You’ll Need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, business or related medical or science field is preferred.

  • Understanding of group insurance, account management, ADAAA, leave, medical/vocational aspects of disability, and accommodations is a requirement.

  • Current or previous experience in supervision or leadership for a team that provides a customer or client-based service. 

  • Operational management experience. 

  • Experience with organizational methodology (Lean preferred).

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$77,250.00 - $123,500.00
