The Manager, Strategic Service and Operations is responsible for the management of our National Strategic Account customers, including the Luminary Customer, high profile regional accounts, and customers participating in Value Partnerships. The primary purpose of this role is to provide focused attention to assigned accounts located in the United States but not limited to Latin America, Mexico, Brazil, and Canada.  Main objective is to ensure our local teams have the resources necessary to continue to provide a high level of support and engagement with these strategic customers.    

  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver profitable growth and retain existing strategic customers by demonstrating differentiated value offerings.
  • Identify, develop, and nurture the assigned account relationships while partnering closely with Strategic Sales and other VMS and SHS teams.
  • Enhance the strategic service and operations organization whereby providing leadership by working collectively with local service managers, contracting, marketing, cybersecurity, legal, and service sales to ensure strategic execution.
  • Major focus on the creation of strategies and tactics for accelerating growth by supporting team coordination to ensure flawless execution of projects, installs, and upgrades for our products and by developing and negotiating service pricing for new and the renewal of existing agreements.
  • Monitor the release of and communicate new Varian Products and Enhancements as it relates to comprehensive business development strategy for all government accounts.   

Applicable to the Oncology Systems business only:   

  • Many VMS clients require VMS employees and representatives to meet certain “Vendor Credentialing” requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites. Unless prohibited by law, the position/candidate must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements while employed by VMS in this position.
  • These requirements vary by client and may include but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver’s license, SSN) Criminal background checks Drug screens Immunizations (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus, Covid) Annual TB testing and Healthcare trainings (LMS).    

  

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:   

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate commercial matrix, lead without authority, and reinforce field execution with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience with working with government agencies including an understanding of government procurement, management processes, and contract negotiation and execution. 
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, TEAMS and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
  • People management experience desired but not required.  
  • Typical Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 8 years of related experience. Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience.

The base pay range for this position is

Min $97,900 - Max $176,300

The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
