Your role at Sephora:
As Sephora’s Manager, Retention Marketing Technical Operations, you’ll be responsible for leading the technical operational elements that power our most impactful client communications. In this role, you’ll:
- Lead Personalization scaling initiatives for Tech Ops. You’ll lead UAT, identify and implement process improvements that enhance cross-functional efficiencies.
- Support Retention 3rd Party Vendor Relationships. You’ll drive enhancements, coordinate day-to-day work, partner with vendor leads to resolve issues.
- Support Retention Marketing Technology roadmaps. You’ll track, identify improvements and monitor the progress of Channel initiatives that keep Sephora at the forefront of personalized marketing and elevate channel performance.
- Proactively mitigate risk and ensure channel health. You’ll help establish rigorous data validation processes to maintain the highest standards of channel integrity.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration. You’ll work closely with teams, including Retention Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Ops to define how to test and scale technical requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Tech Ops Email Scaling and UAT initiatives
- 3rd Party Vendor Support (e.g., unlock new use-cases, issue resolution)
- Support Retention Marketing tech roadmap and needs
- Ensure channel integrity and health (e.g, data validation, YTD reset, ad hoc data accuracy initiatives)
We're excited about you if you have:
- 3+ years deep knowledge of digital marketing and marketing technologies, with a focus on email and mobile marketing (App Push, SMS)
- 3+ years experience with or strong working knowledge of retention marketing & CRM campaigns (Email, Push, SMS) using an enterprise Campaign Management solution or ESP, such as Epsilon, Braze, Bluecore, or similar platforms.
- Passion for the marketing domain and use of technology to solve business problems
- Proven experience building vendor relationships, working with technology partners (Product Management, Engineering), working with technical roadmaps, and managing complex projects.
- A collaborative spirit and exceptional communication skills, able to bridge the gap between technical and marketing teams.
- A drive to innovate and push boundaries, always seeking out new and better ways to connect with Sephora's clients.
- Proven strategic thinking, analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills
- Data and solutions driven with a desire to unlock technical capabilities via 3rd party marketing vendors (i.e. ESPs, Movable Ink, Jacquard, Branch, etc.)
- Self-starter with high degree of motivation. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Outstanding interpersonal skills: ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners at all levels.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills to leadership and cross-functionals.
- High proficiency of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Smartsheets, Jira, Monday.com
The annual base salary range for this position is $96,390.00 - $128,250.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
