Overview: LivePerson is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manager, Pricing and Monetization Strategy to support the development, analysis, and optimization of our pricing strategies. Reporting to the Director of Value Engineering and Pricing, this role will play a critical part in ensuring our pricing models align with business goals, market conditions, and customer needs. The Manager, Pricing and Monetization Strategy will collaborate cross-functionally with finance, sales, product, and solution marketing teams to deliver insights that drive profitability and competitiveness.
You will:
- Pricing Strategy Development:
- Assist in the creation and refinement of pricing models for LivePerson products and solutions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market trends.
- Evaluate and recommend pricing strategies to optimize revenue and customer success.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth research on competitor pricing models, industry trends, and market dynamics.
- Collaborate with Analyst Relations to support briefings, inquiries, and capture key insights from industry analysts.
- Derive actionable market insights from research to inform pricing strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Data Analysis and Insights:
- Analyze pricing data, customer purchasing patterns, and revenue trends to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Develop actionable insights to improve pricing strategies and ensure profitability.
- Scenario Modeling and Forecasting:
- Create scenario models to evaluate the financial impact of different pricing structures and discount strategies.
- Support forecasting and pricing impact analyses to guide decision-making.
- Pricing Execution and Governance:
- Monitor pricing compliance and ensure adherence to company policies and guidelines.
- Partner with Finance and Deal Desk teams to support pricing approvals and escalations.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Growth Marketing, Product / Solutions Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Finance teams to gather input and validate pricing strategies.
- Present pricing analyses, recommendations, and insights to key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
You have:
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in pricing analysis, financial modeling, or related roles, preferably in SaaS or technology industries.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets to provide actionable insights.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
- Analytical and Strategic Thinking:
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to balance short-term tactical needs with long-term strategic goals.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior leadership.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SaaS pricing models, subscription-based pricing, and usage-based pricing frameworks.
- Experience with value-based pricing and pricing elasticity analysis.
- Familiarity with competitive pricing tools or pricing optimization software.
Benefits: The salary range for this role will be between $110,000 to $130,000 USD. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including, but not limited to your location, skills, experience, education, and/or professional certifications.
