What this job can offer you

We are looking for a Manager, Time & Attendance to own the planning, implementation and service level for lifecycle Time & Attendance team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Lifecycle Operations Time & Attendance, this is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal impact in the global employment space in our growing Lifecycle Operations team.

What you bring

  • You have hands-on people management experience with a coaching mindset.
  • You have a proven track record in HR Operations across multiple countries, with deep knowledge of Time & Attendance matters and labor laws in various jurisdictions.
  • You have experience working in a fast-paced, international scale-up environment.
  • You're tech-savvy and experienced with various digital tools.
  • You're passionate about achieving goals and comfortable working in a service-level environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • You write and speak fluent English.
  • Startup and remote working experience is a plus.
  • You can safely manage and maintain employee data and confidential information, adhering to established protocols while ensuring utmost professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Guide, coach, and develop direct reports to build a high-performing team.
  • Foster a positive team culture across international borders in a remote, asynchronous environment that encourages excellence and innovation.
  • Lead performance management by overseeing bi-annual evaluations and aligning individual and team goals with business objectives in our high-performance culture.
  • Drive recruitment, training, mentoring, and supervision of the regional team to support their professional growth.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point on all Time & Attendance related topics.
  • Partner across domains—including Operations, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Customer Success—to enhance processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in alignment with Remote's objectives.
  • Improve & optimise Lifecycle Time & Attendance team's processes, existing workflows and tools including identifying opportunities for automation to improve quality, efficiency and drive scale.
  • Ensure efficient, compliant delivery of Time & Attendance services while meeting KPIs and SLAs.
  • Safely manage and maintain employee data and confidential information, adhering to established protocols, and ensuring utmost professionalism and discretion in handling and accessing such information.
  • Resolve escalated issues through detailed analysis and implement improvements that drive both individual and business growth.
  • Be able to go from "scout to scale" and actually start things up.
  • Be an internal and external champion of Remote's values and Lifecycle team's goals.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce.  We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $42,400 USD to $95,400 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
