Job Summary:

We are seeking a Manager, HR Operations to drive operational excellence across our HR processes in the AMER/APAC region, while creating a seamless and engaging employee experience. In this role, you will lead and optimize critical HR functions—including HR compliance that relates to employee on/offboarding, process improvement and automation where capable.  This is to ensure process efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. By helping to build best-in-class people operations functions, you will enhance workforce productivity and contribute to a high-performance culture.

This is a strategic and hands-on people management role where you and your team will streamline HR workflows, enhance data-driven decision-making, and create an exceptional employee journey from onboarding to offboarding. Job Location: Remote - Eastern or Central Time Zones

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • People Management - Inspire, motivate, and guide teams toward operational success. This includes setting goals, defining expectations, and holding team members accountable.
  • Optimize HR Compliance & Processes – Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws related to employee onboarding and offboarding, while continuously refining processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Enhance Employee Onboarding & Offboarding – Design and implement seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences that support employee engagement, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Drive Process Improvement & Automation – Identify opportunities to automate and streamline HR workflows, leveraging technology to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Manage Immigration Process & External Counsel Relationship – Oversee immigration processes, including visa sponsorship and compliance, while partnering with legal counsel to ensure a smooth experience for employees and business continuity.
  • Ensure HR Data Accuracy & Insights – Maintain HR system integrity, ensure accurate employee data management, and generate insights to support data-driven decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Partner with key stakeholders across the People Team IT, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to align People Operations initiatives with company goals and improve overall employee experience.

 

Minimum of 5 years experience in each of the core areas of focus:

  • Managing an HR operations team in small to mid-sized technology companies
  • Managing HR compliance & processes 
  • Managing all employee lifecycle components of onboarding & offboarding
  • Driving process improvement & automation 
  • Managing data integrity and reporting
  • Managing vendor relationships that support the HR operations function 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally in a global environment

 

Minimum of 2 years experience in this area of focus:

  • Managing operational aspects of the immigration process

The annual base salary range for this position based in the United States is listed below. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on Neo4j’s compensation practices, job related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and trainings, in addition to geographic location. Based on the factors above, Neo4j utilizes the full width of the range.

In addition to the range below, US employees are eligible for a stock option grant and certain roles are eligible for an annual bonus. Employees in this position are also eligible to participate in the Company’s standard benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and certain leaves of absence.
