Be an integral part of our dynamic Global Trade (GT) team, dedicated to empowering the Power & Controls Strategic Business Unit. Collaborate closely with diverse functional groups across the organization, championing compliant business practices in the intricate landscape of export and import regulations.

As a member of the GT team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to critical regulations such as the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and other global mandates that shape operations across our U.S. and international sites.

This is a full-time Remote position which requires occasional travel to Collins Aerospace locations for meetings.

What You Will Do

  • Organize and prepare GT training to internal business customers
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ITAR and EAR Export Authorizations requirements and drafting
  • Review, prepare, submit, and manage Export Authorizations (Licenses DSP-5, DSP-73, DOC licenses, Agreements MLAs, TAAs, Exemptions/Exceptions) to authorize the transfer of regulated hardware, technical data, software, and services
  • Review and approve export transactional requests involving employee travel, visitor access, technical data exports, and hardware exports
  • Assist with investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures

  • You'll gain GT professional experience equipped to navigate complex regulatory landscapes, facilitate international trade, and ensure compliance with export control requirements.
  • You will enhance your communication and presentation skills while becoming proficient in explaining complex regulatory concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Applying your expertise in ITAR and EAR requirements to ensure that proposed transactions comply with regulatory restrictions and licensing conditions.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience 

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Degree in business management, international business, legal, or international trade from an accredited institution.
  • GTS experience
  • OCR experience

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles* will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
