We are seeking a talented Contracts Manager to take on a vital role in overseeing complex contracts with U.S. Government agencies, prime contractors, foreign governments, and commercial clients. This position will focus on our international commercial portfolio within the Ejection and Propulsion Systems business.

In this high-impact role, you will lead negotiations, manage contract deliverables, and serve as the key interface for both internal and external stakeholders. Your expertise will be essential in handling government, international, and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and nurturing positive business relationships. What YOU Will Do:

  • Participate in proposal reviews, advising management on Terms and Conditions risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Review contract terms for acceptability, assessing risks and impacts with input from legal, operations, and pricing teams.
  • Identify and mitigate significant risks, providing alternative terms to customers when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, business ethics, and regulations.
  • Lead contract negotiations, execution, and ongoing management.
  • Coordinate input from sales, finance, service, and legal teams to structure and analyze contracts for compliance.
  • Provide contract status updates and support to program managers and leadership.
  • Manage contract closeout processes in line with applicable procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication of contract details to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external customers, resolving contractual issues promptly.
  • Operate independently on most tasks, exercising discretion and creativity on complex matters.

  • Navigate complex international contracts with hands-on experience in foreign government and commercial agreements across diverse regions.
  • Master best practices for negotiating high-stakes contracts with global customers, focusing on risk mitigation, compliance, and stakeholder management.
  • Gain expertise in international trade compliance, including ITAR/EAR regulations and export licensing.
  • Lead contract strategy and execution for advanced aerospace systems in a dynamic global market.
  • Build collaborative leadership skills by working with legal, finance, program management, and engineering teams to achieve successful outcomes.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Contract experience
  • Customer relationship skills
  • Excellent communication skills, combined with a flexible and positive attitude, Negotiation experience
  • Experience with International Trade Compliance, ITAR/EAR regulations, export licensing
  • Experience working with international customers
  • Experience in FAR Part 12 and 15 contracting, including FAR/DFAR flow downs
  • Contracts Lead or direct engagement with external customers

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
