What You Will Do

  • Generates, interprets, and manages large multifaceted proposals and contracts, in accordance with internal standard work instructions and external customer requirements, to ensure compliance with business objectives and regulations.
  • Application and adherence to government contracting regulations including FAR and DFAR requirements.
  • Assesses, interprets, and reviews documents to ensure that contracts are negotiated within agreed-upon parameters, including government procurement and cost control guidelines.
  • Advises and represents the contracts organization on contractual requirements.
  • Works closely with internal functional groups to support contracts negotiations with customers and execute contracts agreements in a timely manner.
  • Prepares reports for internal functional groups review and approval.
  • Participates in meetings to ensure all relevant functional groups understand the contractual requirements.
  • Develops strong contractual relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Manages the interface between Collins and external customers and helps resolve contractual matters.
  • Prepares contract status reports for internal use and/or external customers.
  • Manages encumbered outstanding accounts receivable issues.
  • Manage small projects, process improvements, including CORE initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience 
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract ​

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry
  • Previous Contracts, Supply Chain or Procurement experience
  • SAP experience
  • Knowledge in FAR 12 and FAR 15 regulations – Commercial Item background
  • Knowledge and application of Government Contracting activities
  • Writing and negotiation skills
  • Experience with the formation of contracts (NDA’s, MOU’s, MOA’s, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
