About the Role:

As a Machine Learning Software Engineer, you’ll work within a larger Data Science team at the exciting intersection of Software Engineering, Operations, Machine Learning, and Security. You will be exposed to the infrastructure and technologies that underly CrowdStrike’s Research & Development efforts, and will help make material contributions to the tooling and services that power our Machine Learning solutions. We are a diverse and multidisciplinary team, and you’ll have the chance to broaden your horizons by working jointly with a team of Engineering, Big Data, Machine Learning, and Security domain experts on hard and impactful problems. You will gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Participate in engineering efforts to support R&D and machine learning initiatives

  • Design, implement, test, optimize and maintain features for internal/external customers in the form of robust libraries and software development kits

  • Learn about multi-platform software development, file formats & feature engineering, containerization and agile software development

  • Work with cutting edge technologies and languages across the entire development stack 

What You’ll Need:

  • A rising senior, or graduate-level computer science student, graduating by August 2025 or equivalent experience

  • Experienced with one or more of the following: Rust, C++, Python

  • Basic Git experience

  • Comfortable with either Linux, Windows or Mac

  • Knowledge of appropriate algorithms to solve complex technical problems

  • Interested in Machine Learning

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledge of file formats like PE, ELF, Mach-O, MS Office, Zip, Packers

  • Familiar with software vulnerabilities and secure programming

  • Familiar with cloud computing platform(s) AWS/GCP/Azure

  • Contributions to the open source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging)

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $90.000 - $125.000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.

CrowdStrike Canada ULC is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in Canada is $85.000 - $115.000 CAD per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
