The Details...

Reporting to the Associate Director, Logistics, the successful candidate will manage and coordinate the outbound fulfilment and reverse logistics processes. Managing 3PLs to meet organizational objectives and ensure safe and efficient storage and distribution of parts, finished goods and timely return of finished goods for recycling. The job holder will plan daily warehouse operational duties including sales order picking and shipping priorities and coordinate with couriers, 3PLs and internal departments to facilitate order fulfilment targets as well as satisfy internal customer requirements. This role also involves monitoring and managing inventory levels including those stored within the different company warehouses (internal and 3PL's). We are looking for someone keen to contribute to and support best practices to aid and improve operational performance.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring correct and qualitative processing of the required documentation (order receipt, POD’s)
  • Escalating to line manager all detected operational constraints and advise on recommended solutions
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly Logistics KPI reports and sharing this with relevant stakeholders
  • Reviewing all sub-contractor billing & invoicing costs (carriers & 3PL’s) ensuring accuracy and adherence to contract terms
  • Operate Logistics and other appropriate IT systems leveraging & adapting to improve efficiency
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met


What We're Looking For...

You've already proved yourself in a logistics or manufacturing environment. You have experience in shipping, warehousing, import, export and in addition, you have excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills. You're commercially and financially aware with a full understanding of the impact of decisions on business costs, production schedules and customer order fulfilment and can anticipate and work to overcome operational obstacles.

We'll also expect you to be a highly skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and someone who can build and maintain good relationships internally and externally as well as being a strong negotiator. You know your way around Microsoft Office and are familiar with ERP systems, ideally AX Dynamics. 

If you have a relevant degree in Logistics, Engineering or Management or are APICS/CLTD or CILT certified that would be an advantage, as would knowledge of COSHH and a background in Biotech/Pharma/Medical Devices or a regulated industry.

This role would suit someone with a strong customer focus and who is resilient and able to deliver multiple tasks under pressure.

Specific to this Role: 

The salary for this role is between $116,292 to $174,438 USD. The salary offered will reflect the skills and experience of the candidate. This is a remote role based in Louisville, KY.
