Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator will oversee the freight movement across various transportation modes, ensuring efficient handling of cargo for both domestic and international shipments. This role is essential in analyzing logistics functions and recommending best practices while managing daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange and manage freight movement for multiple products and clients, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.
- Monitor shipments of materials, products, and finished goods between locations and partners, ensuring efficient logistics operations.
- Provide tracking information to related parties and internal supervisors, maintaining clear communication with transportation companies and adhering to FMCSA guidelines.
- Interact with Business Units and external partners to resolve exceptions and expedite shipments.
- Analyze delivery costs and recommend cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Resolve complaints or delivery issues by offering effective solutions.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in shipments, including processing freight claims for lost or damaged freight.
- Perform necessary system transactions to accurately reflect the movement of materials and reconcile inventory records.
- Provide customer and management reports on inventory status and logistics performance metrics on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Perform Stop-Ship segregation and manage related statuses.
- Review and process invoices for freight movements, verifying that all applicable charges are valid and accurate.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with logistics software.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma required and three years related experience and/or training; Bachelor's degree preferred; Certification by related professional organizations is preferred.
