The Linac Sales Specialist is a key role in Elekta’s Sales function.  This role provides technical and sales process support to the Adaptive Linac Healthcare Sales Director in Region Americas.  This position plays a key role in working closely with the Region Americas Linac Solutions team and the Sales Zones to provide technical and clinical quoting expertise during the sales process.  In addition, this role provides pre and post sales support to the Region as well as install base analysis, upgrade recommendations, product support escalations and best practice recommendations to the client base.  This role serves as a conduit to other divisions of the Company including Service, Product Management, and Marketing.  This role must perform these tasks in a professional manner, working in a team environment in order to enhance the overall perception of the Company to the medical community.

Responsibilities -

  • Work with the Vice President & Head of the Linac Business Line within the Region to identify and target customers that require supplemental engagement to maintain Elekta’s Linac customer base, enable existing customers, or to provide support to the Region to increase sales.

  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of solutions packaging, price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates and service obligations in accordance with Company policies.

  • Co-own the Linac portion of the RFP process for Region Americas.

  • Provide field support as needed to help maintain existing customer base through client engagement.

  • Partner with the Zone Vice Presidents and HSDs to prospect and grow within Elekta’s Linac Solutions installed base.

  • Work with Marketing and Commercial Operations to segment market and execute upgrade programs with support from Zone Vice Presidents and HSDs.

  • Establish relationships with resource referrals (i.e. hospitals, clinics, physicians, etc.).

  • Develop and maintain close professional working relationships with Finance, Field Service, Technical Services, Marketing, and Administration.

  • Investigate policies and notify Company of competitive products, promotional sales selling techniques, pricing, warranties, and marketing policies.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and the ability to demonstrate solutions for customers (i.e. consultative sales approach).

  • Demonstrated initiative; Self-starter.

Qualifications -

  • Bachelor’s Degree (clinical or business oriented) or equivalent knowledge acquired through business experience is required.

  • Expertise or a medical background in oncology, either in clinical practice or in industry is required.

  • Experience in customer-facing operations, preferably in customer success, capital medtech project management and implementation, or in the life science industries.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage data through effective use of Excel, SalesForce Dashboards, etc.

  • Fluency in English is required, preferably also another language relevant to the Region.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Demonstrated strong business comprehension and acumen.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • A proactive, hands-on work ethic.

The US base salary range for this position is $130,000- 140,000, plus commission.
