PAY DETAILS: The standard pay range for this role is $75,000-$90,000 annually.
The pay will vary based on criteria such as education, experience and qualifications of the applicant, location, internal equity, and alignment with the market.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Travel is minimal, some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
BSN SPORTS is currently seeking a Licensing Operations Manager to join our growing team at our Farmers Branch, TX headquarters. The role will serve as a key point of contact for Collegiate Select sales teammates, cross-functional marketing and innovation teams, BSN Sales Professionals and customers. It will require an individual who is self-motivated, passionate about business process excellence, can embrace handling multiple tasks at once and is extremely detail oriented. Key business objectives will be centered redefining monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to various licensing agencies, ownership, improvement and maintenance of licensing master data, and responsibility for renewed and new licensing agreements.
The Licensing Operations Manager will report to the Director of Licensing in and will be a critical role in the company’s growth strategy.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead all actions to run the operational side of BSN licensing. This includes but is not limited to reporting, contracting, renewals, application processes for all collegiate and specialty brands.
- Oversee all internal and external sales/royalty reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual). Develop best-in-class practices to streamline reporting operations.
- Maintain and communicate approved rights, restrictions, and changes to contract terms of collegiate and specialty brand partners
- Work with BSN legal team on maintenance of processes and new form development
- Develop efficient processes with complete documentation to enable business continuity with royalty and sales reporting
- Maintain and refine all licensing data. This includes but is not limited to system of records, CRM integration, applicable exemptions, policy updates, agency affiliations, and artwork updates.
- Seek a continuous loop of improvement with capabilities to serve our customers in their desire to protect, promote and profit from their brand
- Participate and engage in special projects that may involve cross-functional collaboration
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Organization: Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables with competing priorities on tight deadlines; must have meticulous, focused attention to detail
- Customer Focus: Has a strong, outgoing personality and a passion for working with external partners. Able to lead meetings or presentations with customers to enhance BSN’s value proposition
- Accountability: Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments; promotes a sense of urgency and establishes and enforces individual accountability
- Collaboration: Able to work cross functionally throughout the organization and build strong partnerships to meet shared objectives
- Communication: Excellent communications, follow up, and presentation skills, both written and verbal, including confidence and presence to engage effectively with customers and/or senior executives. Must be able to strategically and succinctly articulate messaging
- Decision Quality: Able to make good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
- Strategic / Tactical Agility: Able to work with multiple stakeholders, develop, and execute information strategy while being able to manage day-to-day tactical activities to ensure commitments are delivered
- Action Oriented: Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm; proven performance demonstrating a tremendous amount of initiative in tough situations and is exceptional at recognizing and seizing opportunities
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum of (3) three years of progressive work experience in relevant field
- Experience working with sales teams preferred
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence customers
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to meet customer needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple initiatives at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a must
- Knowledge and appreciation of Collegiate Licensing requirements a plus
- Experience working with or in Collegiate Campus environments a plus
