THE JOB: Liaison, Digital Health & Privacy

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $80,067 - $100,084

The Liaison, Digital Health & Privacy reports to the Manager, Digital Health & Associate Privacy Officer, and works strategically with the leadership of Engagement, Quality & Improvement department, as well as the Economics, Advocacy, and Negotiations department. The Liaison, will play a pivotal role in supporting the advancement of digital health, specifically artificial intelligence and privacy, on behalf of all Doctors of BC members. The Liaison will be responsible to   organize, support and advise on physician engagement at the regional, provincial, and national tables. The Liaison works with internal and external partners to define scope, and lead applicable AI projects, undertaking all aspects of the planning process, including completion of organizational privacy impact assessments. Additionally, the Liaison acts as a conduit to various stakeholders. The Liaison will play a vital role in linking together needs and resources within a multi partnered environment.

 Relationship Building (A):

 WHAT YOU BRING

  •  A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and/or recognized professional designation in related field, and 2-4 years’ of progressive and related experience. Experience completing privacy impact assessments, consultative and implementation support and leadership in a healthcare setting with a focus on health technology projects using AI.
  • Experience in privacy, security and information-sharing is required.
  • Experience in a health care setting, preferably related to engagement in information technology and/or project coordination is required. Knowledge of the BC health care system and the technologies in use.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, as well as strong written skills and proven ability to develop clear, concise, and comprehensive reports and other documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience working with multi stakeholder initiatives and demonstrated experience working in dynamic, and iterative environments.
  • Strong diplomacy, collaboration, and conflict management capabilities. 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and strong track record of being pro-active and working independently.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and project management programs.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills; solid judgment; critical thinking skills; a sense of teamwork and community; ability to handle multiple tasks; highly organized.
