The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Legal Operations Analyst will support the management of outside counsel for the Global Legal Affairs organization and will support other strategic initiatives through the ownership of business processes and performance tracking.
As a Legal Operations Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Outside Counsel and Legal Vendor Management:
- Support the Legal Operations Specialist with outside counsel spend management duties (e.g., AFAs, accruals, timekeeper rates)
- Assist with billing / payment activities including opening and closing matters, invoice review and ad hoc payments
- Assist with outside counsel / vendor onboarding and offboarding activities
- Support vendor RFPs
- Analysis & Reporting
- Leverage system data to collate, parse, and analyze spend
- Develop a dashboard of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
- Create data and reporting processes to monitor pricing performance and savings
- Assist with ad hoc data queries.
- Additional Key Operational Tasks:
- Help train department personnel on new processes, tools, guidelines and policies
- Serve as subject matter expert for relevant systems and tools
- Assist with organization and maintenance of Legal Operations file share, databases, and knowledge platforms
- Refresh existing templates and forms to ensure ongoing adherence to department policies
- Lead and/or oversees special projects and responsibilities as assigned
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND four (4) years of Legal Operations experience in a private, public, government or military environment
OR
- High School Diploma/GED from AND eight (8) years of Legal Operations experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Demonstrated expertise in matter management, billing management, and legal spend analysis and reporting
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Expertise with Onit billing system
- Detail-oriented and organized; ability to prioritize
- Project management experience and skills
- Experience working in a corporate Legal department
- Ability to think “outside the box” and adapt in a changing environment
Work location: Remote - United States
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $82,370 - $100,675, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
