Leads and supports the Retirement Benefit Services Specialist team in managing complex tasks with high financial risk. Responsible for system setup, correspondence, and annuity certificate issuance. Monitors team functions, trains staff, and acts as a subject matter expert. Ensures compliance with regulations and handles complex annuity administration with minimal supervision.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $66,500-$68,500, plus annual bonus opportunity.

  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2025, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2025, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2025 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Serves as a contact for external/internal client communications related to annuity contracts and processes, including reviewing and analyzing sold case materials. Go to resource for the team on complex questions.
  • Manages new customer onboarding, including system setup, welcome letter, and annuity certificate/contract generation.
  • Manages structured settlement annuity contracts including system setup, contract generation, customer service and factoring administration.
  • Handles annuity administration, including lump sum payments, compliance concerns, death processing, and overpayment recovery. Interprets annuity certificate provisions for early retirement, disability, and death benefits, creating illustrations for election by annuitants, and resolving issues with underwriting and compliance.
  • Implements effective workflow and work management practices used in concert with all annuity and payment systems and administrative procedures. Develops and documents comprehensive business procedures related to annuity administration, state regulations, and ad hoc projects.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • In-depth knowledge and 3 plus years of experience in annuities, including structured settlement annuities, the insurance industry, and the business area.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and business regulations governing annuity and lump sum payment products. Knowledge of federal distribution codes and tax laws (UCA-92 regulations).
  • Expertise in verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • High degree of attention to detail, decision-making ability, organizational skills, and the ability to demonstrate creativity, diplomacy, sound judgment, and initiative.
  • Proven customer service experience working to proactively resolve client questions and concerns, meet tight deadlines, and effectively work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
