Your Mission
As a Lead Analytics Engineer, you will use your technical know-how and your leadership skills to ensure that the data consultants under your care are delivering value to clients as well as learning and growing professionally.
While technical skills are essential to managing technical teams, you will be mainly focusing your efforts on client satisfaction and employee satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
+ Leadership and Adaptability: Show flexibility, creativity, and the ability to navigate between various engagements. Exhibit curiosity, strong interpersonal skills, and dedication to your team and clients.
+ Team Coaching: Guide your team on managing clients and projects effectively.
+ Training and Career Development: Define and monitor team members’ training and career progression plans.
+ Technical Guidance: Provide technical support and direction to clients and team members.
+ Process Improvement: Collaborate with other Pod Leads to enhance Datatonic’s processes and standard practices.
+ Technical Skills: Work on select engagements to stay technically proficient
+ Client and Team Collaboration: Partner with clients and team members to define objectives, deliverables, and strategies for success.
What You’ll Bring
+ Experience in Data Roles: 5+ years of experience in roles such as Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or Analytics Engineer.
+ Technical Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience with dbt, modern data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery, and Kimball modeling.
+ Leadership Skills: 2+ years of experience leading technical teams and managing individual career development.
+ Agile Proficiency: Ability to operate effectively within Agile frameworks, including user stories, backlogs, and sprints.
+ Relationship Management: Experience managing relationships with partners, clients, and prospects.
+ Consulting Experience: Previous experience working in a consulting environment.
+ Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
+ Communication Skills: Outstanding listening, speaking, presentation, and writing abilities.
+ Multitasking Ability: Strong capability to manage multiple concurrent engagements effectively.
+ Empathy and Positive Attitude: Empathy and a positive demeanour in all interactions.
+ Cultural Alignment: Fully aligned with values of transparency, empathy, accountability, and performance.

+ Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification
+ Snowflake's Snowpro Certification
+ Experience with Scrum Methodology
