Summary:
In this role, you will manage the lifecycle of product tools and solutions. You will gather requirements, create, maintain, and work to ensure quality assurance across multiple domains to develop high-quality automated analytics products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop large, complex analytics products and new stories and provide guidance to others in the design of analytics products.
- Gather, analyze, and document user requirements and translate them into user stories; oversee user requirements process and translation of requirements into user stories for other team members.
- Plan and conduct stakeholder interviews to gather requirements and understand current business processes; oversee other team members conducting stakeholder meetings.
- Develop and maintain product backlogs and provide guidance on dependent stories to address potential overlap or conflicting modifications between a new and existing solutions.
- Implement and oversee requirements traceability from user stories to product features.
- Lead discovery workshops to aid in requirements discussion.
- Write SQL code and lead code and design reviews to maintain standards.
- Develop, implement, and validate logical and physical models used to build out a data warehouse.
- Oversee and govern the expansion of existing data architecture and the optimization of data query performance via best practices.
- Create Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes joining various data sources including Cloud, Vertica, MS SQL, and Oracle into a common package.
- Utilize and lead technologies including Automic to create scheduling packages.
- Assess project requirements and articulate issues and challenges to reduce project delivery risks.
- Lead architecture and design sessions at a product level, lead defect triage activities.
- Create and execute test cases assessing condition and quality of software builds and releases, and identify defects.
- Train team members on estimates and planning for development and execution and report on project estimates.
- Facilitate team documentation and results of executed test cases for tracking and release planning.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred. Degree in Computer Science or Engineering a plus.
- 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Experience as an Analytics Engineer, BI Developer, or Data Scientist required.
- Experience in SQL database management systems, online analytical processing, and ETL frameworks required.
- Experience with SQL queries and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) required.
- Data warehouse design including dimensional modeling and data mining preferred.
- Experience with ChatGPT, Atomic, and other AI tools preferred.
- BI technologies including Microsoft Power BI or MicroStrategy preferred.
- Healthcare experience is preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
