Overview:

Lead and support the creation and execution, of the end-to-end administration process including loading client data, running data quality rules, and reconciling the settlement/accounting summaries to ensure that EPFP Pension Risk Transfer business is administered appropriately and accurately in line with treaty specification.  Provides key administration support, for EPFP reinsurance and direct transactions to RGA corporate Finance, ceding companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in new transactions as a representative within the new deal teams for policy reporting and data operations for the lifecycle of the transaction process.  This includes negotiating reporting terms with clients, proposing verbiage to be used within legal agreements such as a treaty agreement, and understanding data risks based on treaty terms.

  • Analyze and consolidate client reporting at the product line to look for trends in data and summarize findings for downstream stakeholders in Risk Management, Valuation, and Finance

  • Champion the vision of the administration and data operations team by establishing repeatable processes that can be applied consistently to support, calculation of seriatim benefits, administering settlements, and summarizing monthly transaction history for downstream stakeholders in Risk Management, Valuation, and Finance

  • Facilitate communication with reinsurance and direct partners, auditors, consultants, and regulatory-agency personnel when necessary.

  • Maintain excellent on-going client relationships by taking ownership over all aspects of communication regarding policy reporting and data operations.  This includes leading conversations to Assist client with implementing and understanding treaty provisions as needed.

  • May coach, train and mentor junior team member. 

Candidate Requisites:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related work experience

  • 8+ years of Pension Risk Transfer administration/claims, data operations experience, accounting, or audit related experience

  • 1-2 years Annuity, Pension, Interest Sensitive, Financial Reinsurance, and/or Insurance/Product knowledge

Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced Word, strong Excel, and basic SQL/Query skills

  • Familiarity with insurance administrative systems, ability to calculate benefits under multiple structures, and basic understanding of how the data affects liabilities and financial results  

  • Detailed oriented, passionate about completing the task correctly rather than quickly

  • Advanced oral and written communication and organization skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge

  • Advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines

  • Must be flexible and adaptive to change

  • Takes initiative and is accountable

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables.  

  • Complex investigative, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to share and impart knowledge

  • Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives

  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.

  • Ability to work well with all levels of management

Compensation Range:

$87,050.00 - $131,450.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
