Lawyer, Senior Director (Remote)

The Senior Director/Lawyer will act as a subject matter expert in commercial and technology contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and regulatory matters. Primary tasks include providing legal support and advice to various internal departments and negotiating with BCD Travel’s external suppliers and vendors following BCD Travel policies and guidelines. You will ensure proper business practices are followed and will manage potential risks originating within the business and minimizing the impact. You will also provide legal support to and interaction with business owners and senior executives at all levels within the company. The Senior Director/Lawyer must possess expertise in drafting and negotiating domestic and international commercial contracts and transactions, monitoring legal developments, guiding junior members of the legal department, and managing outside counsel. One or more lawyers may report directly to the Senior Director/Lawyer.
As a Lawyer, Senior Director, you will
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts independently without supervision in consultation with other BCD Travel internal departments including members of the legal department, including but not limited to supplier, technology, and SaaS agreements, and amendments, based on legal requirements and BCD Travel guidelines and practices.
- Advise business owners and various departments of BCD Travel of potential legal risks.
- Develop and maintain guidelines and standards, including standard legal documents per BCD Travel guidelines and policies.
- Maintain relationships with relevant departments seeking legal assistance
- Manage junior members of the team
About you
- Doctorate in jurisprudence degree mandatory
- Extensive experience as a commercial contracts and transactional lawyer in a law firm/in-house counsel
- Previous management responsibility of junior-level staff
- Proven knowledge of contract and corporate law
- Excellent communication skills, oral, written, and presentation in English
- Experienced with Microsoft business software applications and other communication tools designed for sharing information and enabling the contract process

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Lawyer, Senior Director is between $130,000 and $165,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
