Summary:

In this role, you will support enterprise and business unit strategy by leading qualitative research initiatives, including in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus groups, and other methodologies. You will leverage the expertise of Vizient’s subject matter experts (SMEs) along with client and industry SMEs to help shape strategy, develop unique perspectives, drive thought leadership, and enhance client engagement.  You will collaborate with a broad group of SMEs extracting valuable insights and delivering clear, actionable findings. Additionally, you will support quantitative and qualitative market research and competitive intelligence relative to specific enterprise or Business Unit (BU) strategic topics.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as moderator, synthesizer, facilitator, and editor working with SMEs to execute qualitative market research that uncovers key insights, shapes strategy, and delivers compelling thought leadership.

  • Conduct interviews, focus groups, and other efforts to harness the power of Vizient’s expertise; craft compelling stories, translating inputs into insights.

  • Fully optimize the use of Generative AI to inform research, supplement findings and round out insights.

  • Write, edit, and create visualizations for strategic technical memos, reports, blogs, podcasts, presentations, and other communication mechanisms.

  • Establish strong working relationships and active communication with key internal and external stakeholders, ranging from analysts to executives, to effectively manage expectations.

  • Provide market research for strategy development, competitive intelligence, identification of opportunities, and drive thought leadership.

  • Research, analyze, and interpret data, market trends, and indicators and consult with leadership to formulate strategic recommendations.

  • Serve as project manager for market research in support of enterprise and BU strategy.

  • Communicate project expectations, updates, and potential risks to team members and stakeholders, including leadership, while providing appropriate resolutions and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.  Master’s degree desired.

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience is required.  

  • Experience in healthcare market research, with a focus on qualitative approaches and experience with moderating SME conversations, executing studies, analyzing data, and producing thought leadership, reports, and other deliverables required.

  • Understanding of and competency with the use of generative AI for strategic research.

  • Knowledge of strategic program management in the healthcare industry, with a strong qualitative background.

  • Experience working with senior executives and managing high-stakes projects.

  • Strong background in presenting market research analysis to an executive audience.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.

  • Ability to influence and drive alignment among stakeholders through storytelling and evidence-based recommendations.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • High level of attention to detail and ability to ensure the quality and accuracy of research deliverables.

  • In-depth knowledge of data collection and measurement methodologies.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs is required (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Strategic mindset and a passion for driving timely insights.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $135,400.00.
