Currently, ManTech is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Junior Data Engineer.  This is a 100% remote position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and data warehousing solutions. You will work closely with a team of data engineers, SMEs and business stakeholders to ensure data quality, accessibility, and reliability
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services such as S3, Redshift, and Python
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the data warehouse
  • Optimize data models and query performance in Redshift
  • Develop and implement data quality checks and monitoring processes
  • Collaborate with other data engineers and SMEs to understand data requirements and provide insights
  • Automate data ingestion and processing tasks
  • Troubleshoot data issues and implement solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and best practices

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Data or Software Engineer.
  • Expertise in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with AWS services, including Redshift, S3, and EC2 or a willingness to learn.
  • Experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of data quality and validation best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing and analytics platforms or a willingness to learn.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • US Citizenship with current/.active DoD Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $60,500-$100,800. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
