General Description:

The Senior Director Value, Access, Pricing & Policy Lead New Markets will support the definition of the Regional Market Access, Pricing and Reimbursement Strategy for the BeiGene assets in the New Markets

territories.

While reporting to the Global VP GVAP, the individual will also serve as a member of the Extended New Markets Leadership Team and partner closely with the Regional Commercial Team, the market teams in LATAM, GCC, Israel, Russia, Turkey, Africa, Levant, but not only, to identify local strategies to achieve broad access and reimbursement for the BeiGene portfolio.

The individual will serve as the main point of contact between local needs and Global strategy, tactics, and access deliverables.

Further the role will ensure alignment between Global functions, HEOR/ RWE, Medical Affairs, Brand Marketing, CI & Business Analytics, and the markets and will support markets with the adaptation of evidence based HTA, Pricing & Reimbursement dossiers and tools as needed.

The Individual will support the local teams in the negotiation process, to support and contribute to the overall success of our product launches.

Further, the role will monitor and interpret government maneuvers relating to access to medicines, Health Economic Assessment policies and changes in legislation.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Member of the Extended Leadership Team of the New Markets Region

  • Member of the Regional Commercial Strategy Team

  • Develop a comprehensive Regional Market Access brand plan, as part of the Regional Integrated Brand Plan

  • Contribute to the localization of the GCSO guidance based on regional and market needs

  • Work cross-functionally and across markets to define and communicate the BeiGene access, value and reimbursement perspectives

  • Support the execution of Regional Market Access initiatives

  • Identify synergies across markets by creating market archetypes based on access opportunities

  • Identify local needs in terms of data gaps to be elevated the HEOR and RWE generation teams

  • Support tailor-made access solutions for each market, in collaboration with country teams and business partners, to support the development of pricing models, negotiation strategies and scenarios

  • Create a culture of collaboration and sharing of access topics and solutions across markets

  • Monitor market access and health policy environment, early identify new trends, disseminate strategic, operational and financial implications

  • Drive access and value related projects such as landscape assessments, payer market research, payer advisory boards and general guidance on regional strategies

  • Ensure early access planning of new products and indications

  • Translate strategic insights from countries to support GVAP team to develop practical, well-designed HE and outcomes research initiatives to support value of brands.

  • Supports the Regional Commercial Team in opportunity assessments and business cases for new product launches and territory expansions.

  • Collaborates with the GVAP TA teams and local representatives on strategic brand, launch, and business planning, providing market insights and proposing commercial/access strategies. Ensures alignment with Global brand plans.

  • Input local NM needs into Global pricing strategy for current and future portfolio.

Education Required: Undergraduate science degree required.  Post-graduate science degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) and/ or MBA preferred.

Other Qualifications:   

  • Minimum of 10 years of related pharmaceutical experience is necessary with at least 5 years of direct experience in early asset pipeline/HEOR/Market Access functions.

  • Detailed understanding of global pricing & reimbursement landscape in LATAM,GCC, Israel, Russia, Turkey, Africa, Levant, including the interrelation of various region pricing guidelines, HTA and national reimbursement process and requirements.

  • Strong understanding of regional pricing requirements for coverage and reimbursement with the ability to manage complex cases and successfully address customer objections and questions.

  • Knowledge of health technology assessment methods / health economics (HE) modeling is an advantage

  • Ability to work effectively and communicate across multiple cultures and a breadth of functions and levels

  • Analytical competencies to structure complex issues, synthesize key points and communicate and present in an easy-to-understand manner

  • Strategic thinking, initiative, organization, prioritization and planning skills

  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, a second language (from this NM Region) is an advantage

  • Strong customer focus in cross functional collaborations and teams, strong leadership and presentations skills with leadership across commercial and finance colleagues.

  • Solid interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills, ability to synthesize data, interpret and translate into compelling and clear commercial strategies and plans.

  • Expertise and understanding of dynamic global market access value models such as value-based propositions and cost effectiveness models, etc.

  • Capability of executing projects in timely fashion, getting things done rapidly.

Salary Range: $214,100.00 - $284,100.00 annually

Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
