About the Job
Red Hat is seeking a skilled Jira Administrator with 3+ years of experience to manage, configure and optimize our Jira instance and support our teams in Agile project management as well as IT service management. This individual will maintain system stability, implement best practices and ensure Jira is used efficiently across the organization.
What You Will Do
Administer, configure and maintain Jira, Confluence and other Atlassian tools
Manage Jira projects, workflows, issue types, screens, fields and permission schemes
Monitor and optimize Jira performance, conducting routine maintenance and cleanup
Develop and maintain custom Jira dashboards, reports and automation using Jira Query Language (JQL) and Automation for Jira
Implement integrations between Jira and other tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins and third-party plugins
Support end-users by troubleshooting issues, providing training and documenting best practices
Work with development, IT and Agile teams to tailor Jira configurations to meet business needs
Ensure data integrity, perform regular system audits and manage system updates and upgrades
Create and enforce governance policies for Jira usage and standard operating procedures
What You Will Bring
3+ years of hands-on experience in Jira administration, including configuration and customization
Strong understanding of Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Confluence
Proficiency in JQL, scripting (Groovy, Python, or PowerShell) and automation within Jira
Experience with Jira plugins such as ScriptRunner, Rich Filters, EazyBI and others
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and ITSM processes
Experience integrating Jira with DevOps tools (Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve Jira and Confluence-related issues
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively
Experience with Data Center or Server environments
Knowledge of user management, permission schemes and security best practices in Jira
The following will be considered a plus:
Atlassian Certifications (ACP-100: Jira Administration, ACP-120: Jira Cloud Administration)
Experience with REST API integrations for Jira automation and data extraction
Understanding of ITIL processes and ITSM best practices
Experience with SQL queries and database administration for Jira

The salary range for this position is $77,520.00 - $124,020.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
