IT QA Manager

The QA Manager oversee the activity of quality assurance department and staff, assisting in the development of testing requirements, implementing and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing of products and development process. Evaluate test results to determine compliance with test plans and established business processes. The individual will interact with business development, system developers, end users, and all other groups involved in project development, testing, or test planning.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Partner with the Engineering Managers to ensure that we have effective test environments which align to the agile team’s delivery needs, driving continual improvement.
Research, suggest, and implement tools to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.
Architect, design, and enhance the automated test framework.
Support the QA Analysts with the estimation of test tasks and lead test cycle.
Lead test automation initiatives in order to drive significant automation benefits across our technology stack, drive measurable benefit to support the agile teams with
Mentor QA Analysts.
Suggest and implement QA process improvements across the agile teams.
Oversee the development and execution automated tests.
Ensure that the agile documentation in relation to QA aligns to Assurant quality, audit and regulatory standards.
Work closely with development staff to design automation hooks into main code base.
Monitor QA group performance against KPI utilizing available MI and internal reporting from the underlying tooling (ADO etc.) in order to drive continued improvement.
Ensure that quality is maintained by the teams as a whole and ensure that tasks are completed to deadline and required standards.
Adhere to Information Security policy.
Take a leading role in the analysis of new testing tools/techniques, and ultimately supporting any proposals through to implementation.
Investigate and verify problems with the solutions defined, as recorded within the Solution Requirement Document or JIRA. Reporting issues to the project team, and ultimately being responsible for addressing any changes.
Recommend best approach for any testing deliverables, including testing with third parties.
Ensure all quality gates are being met for your area and raising any risks or issues to the agile teams.
Coach the QA Analysts as they evolve their agile ways of working within the agile teams.
Builds on capability and talent opportunities for all staff.
Support the QA Analysts in effective reviews of requirements/user stories for testability and completeness.
Understand the needs of the user community.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
10+ years of IT QA experience
2+ years managing QA teams
3+ years working with offshore resources
3+ years working with automation tools (Selenium, Ruby, etc.)
Experience with Salesforce or another Enterprise CRM is desired
Other knowledge:
Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What other skill or experience would be useful in this role?
Strong knowledge of mobile and cloud-based technology
Intermediate SQL knowledge
Advanced understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle/agile concepts
Advanced understanding of programming concepts
Learn new technical concepts quickly
Certification in quality assurance or quality (CMSQ, CSQA, etc.)

Pay Range:
$99,200.00 - $165,600.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
