The Portfolio Consulting organization performs functions and services for Wealth Enhancement Group (WEG) as an RIA through Wealth Enhancement Advisory Services (WEAS). The Investment Service Analyst will support investment operations for both Portfolio Consulting and Investment Strategy teams. This individual partners with Investment Strategies to communicate and provide thought leadership within the firm around investment and economic topics. This position is responsible for providing sales and service support for the Advisor network and their prospective and existing clients. The role also includes creating and distributing content and assistance proactively, to increase awareness and usage of WEG investment services.

This is a fully remote position, with a preference for candidates in eastern or central time zones.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $67,000 - $85,000, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. Primary Job Functions

Support Advisor Teams by providing the best possible investment services to clients

  • Work closely with our Advisor teams, serving as an expert on WEG investment operations, providing guidance, assistance, and recommendations.

    • Assist advisor teams to implement customized model portfolios and third-party solutions based on client-specific goals and unique preferences.

    • Partner with Investment Strategy and Portfolio Consulting to create investment solutions collateral and portfolio construction assistance.

    • Participate in the production of presentations outlining WEG’s investment processes and service offerings.

Collaborate with internal and external partners to help implement investment solutions

  • Collaborate with Investment Strategy Team, Central Trading, Custodians, and Third-Party Managers to ensure proper execution and implementation of client investment solutions.

    • Partner with Senior Portfolio Managers to help implement portfolio solutions, assisting with reporting and ad hoc requests as needed.

    • Ensure proper security classification within portfolio accounting systems, and proper setup for execution at custodian partners.

    • Work with third party managers and assist with the implementation of separately managed accounts and private alternative investment strategies.

Develop processes to increase operational efficiencies across the investment advisory platform

  • As a subject matter expert on the broad range of WEG’s investment advisory platform, seek ways to partner and leverage evolving technologies to increase the efficiency of investment operations.

    • Work with Business Practice Optimization team on strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiencies.

    • Collaborate with key partner groups such as Advanced Planning and Growth Teams to improve the efficiency of investment implementation and proposal creation.

    • Seek creative solutions to reduce the burden of operations on advisor teams to encourage utilization of the central investment offering.

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in business, finance or economics, or related field

  • 3 years of experience in Financial Services with a focus on investment operations

  • Knowledge of financial markets and investment operations

  • Proven written and verbal (presentation) communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with people at all levels of the organization and clients

  • Ability to create quality written presentations and articles for Advisor and client consumption

  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and projects

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software – especially PowerPoint and Excel

  • Familiarity with financial platforms such as Orion, Morningstar, and FactSet

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Support Org functionality

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. Thus, the entire salary range for those who are classified as the Associate level is $66,460 to $102,700.
