Your growth as a professional and the difference you make will be on display every day. We're seeking law students to support our Legal Department this summer. The intern position will provide candidates with valuable experience working on important legal and contractual issues in a world class, dynamic, full-service legal environment. The position involves working directly with attorneys, internal clients, and potential interaction with customers, suppliers, and service providers.
What You Will Do
- Advise on and support negotiation of contract terms based on business requirements and risk considerations
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and implement legal risk mitigation strategies
- Support research and review of newly promulgated federal acquisition rules
- Assist with regulatory and compliance matters
- Perform project management activities such as tracking deliverables, creating status reports, and monitoring successful achievement of project goals
- Create internal reference guides to outline key requirements of significant compliance frameworks that intersect with our business
Qualifications You Must Have
- Enrolled in a degree program in law.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Have finished at least 1 year of full-time law school or equivalent prior to starting your internship.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and consistent record of collaboration, flexibility, innovation, and initiative.
- Strong interest in the study and application of the law, substantive knowledge of legal issues, and some prior experience with a legal department or law firm.
- Strong understanding of or work history in business or aerospace.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0

*Position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Pratt & Whitney site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
