Instructional Designer, Staff

Blackbaud University is the customer training team at Blackbaud, dedicated to powering social good with knowledge. In this role you will create interactive courses to enable both the technical skill and the nonprofit savvy of our customers. Blackbaud is seeking a full-time instructional designer to build educational content for our solutions.

The ideal candidate brings a passion for lifelong learning, pursues positive results for the business with energy, drive, and a strong passion for accomplishment, and seeks feedback to uncover ways to improve results for the customer. 

Areas of Responsibility:

• Design and develop effective, engaging courseware through skilled scripting, voice narrations, demos, graphics, and learning activities
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructors, and peers
• Apply adult learning methodologies and techniques in course development
• Prioritize and manage projects to completion and meet desired milestones
• Build productive relationships and communicate with cross-functional teams
• Align to rapid product release cycles with flexibility and poise
• Follow corporate and team style and brand guidelines

Experience:

• Training/ Certification with a concentration on Instructional Design or Learning and Development are desirable

• 2-4 years of experience corporate learning and development

• Demonstrable experience in Articulate 360 (or equivalent eLearning solution)
• Video and audio editing experience
• Exceptional writing skills
• Proven Project Management skills
• Design and graphics savvy

• Bonus: Experience with Adobe After Effects and graphic design

The starting base pay is $53,400.00 to $70,300.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
