The Service Instructional Designer for Cytiva is responsible for designing the learning activities and content for our service organization and driving the service training approach for assigned content development projects.
This position is part of the Global Service Training Design Team located in the United States and will be remote. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Design and develop engaging, task-based content where the learner frequently interacts with the instructional materials, including e-learning modules, video tutorials, instructor-led training, and job aids.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including SMEs, graphic designers, and developers to create content collaboratively, with precision, speed, and transparency.
- Apply adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create effective training solutions.
- Create or leverage existing media assets, perform image/graphics manipulation/optimization, and modify design layouts to suit the content.
- Collect and analyze feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve training materials.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field, Sciences, Instructional Design, Education, Technical Communication, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design, specifically in technical training.
- Proficiency of authoring tools including Articulate 360, Microsoft Office, Camtasia, Captivate, and at least one online presentation tool (for example: WebEx, Zoom, Adobe Connect, etc.).
- Self-starter with an enthusiastic and proactive style. Prior success working with cross-functional and virtual teams.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and engaging learning materials.
- Motivated by challenges, with proven record of delivering quality work on time.
