The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Industrial Adhesives and Tapes Specialist you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Meeting or exceeding designated sales quota in your assigned sales territory
- Partnering with local distribution to execute growth initiatives, strategies, and programs
- Prospecting for new growth opportunities with both new and current 3M customers
- Driving improved customer assembly processes, generating both value to our customers and growth for 3M’s Industrial Adhesives & Tapes Division
- Providing key market and customer insights to Industrial Adhesives & Tapes Division portfolio managers, marketing, application engineers and leadership
- Collaborating with 3M’s End-User Key Accounts Team to drive growth, through key end-user customers
- Effectively and consistently managing your opportunity pipeline, while conducting strategic planning for new opportunities and regular business reviews for key markets and end-user customers in the region.
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Two (2) years or more of exceptional sales experience, in a private, public, government or military environment
- Current, Valid Driver’s license
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- A strong track record of consistent sales achievements
- Experience articulating value propositions and system-selling
- Understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Product demonstration skills and competence
- Robust aptitude for collaboration and cross-functional teamwork to win
Work location:
Location: Portland, OR
Territory: Remote Based - responsible for Western Oregon and Southwest Washington
Travel: May include up to 10% in sales territory
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
