The Implementation Manager is responsible for all phases of the Implementation from Project Preparation, Requirements Gathering, Development, Testing, Monitoring and Control through Execution and Post Implementation. The Implementation Manager will act as the liaison between Avesis and the client.
Job Summary:
The Implementation Manager I is responsible for the successful implementation of the MCO dental and/or vision benefits and program requirements. Through open communication, setting clearly defined expectations, project tools, and well-managed workplans, the Implementation Manager I will facilitate and lead weekly internal and external operational and technical work group meetings, manage all documentation and communication regarding the implementation and/or program change, and provide weekly dashboard reports that focus on major milestones achieved, deliverables produced, potential risk issues and major decisions to be made. The Implementation Manager I will also convene Implementation Steering Committee meetings on an as needed basis to discuss any decisions that need to be made regarding operational and/or technical issues and potential risks. The Implementation Manager I is a remote position with limited travel.
Competencies
Functional:
- Manage new health plan implementations with 1-2 products, lines of business with timelines no longer than 6 months
- Manage multiple program changes for existing health plans with ability to occasionally manage more than 2 concurrent new implementations alongside multiple program changes
- Development and execution of detailed implementation work plans utilizing the appropriate project management tool and provides a single point of contact for internal staff and MCO client
- Identifies, creates and maintains implementation resources, schedules, work plans and status reports for the execution of all new MCO accounts
- Identifies the impact across all functional work teams that may negatively impact daily activities or the effectiveness of the implementation
- Conducts implementation meetings consisting of Company and MCO personnel with the ability to understand and articulate appropriately
- Works cross-functionally at all staff levels within the Company and within the MCO operations by directing the client implementation.
- Develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensure operational and technical feasibility to deliver all project on-time and within scope
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Responsible for the development and delivery of detailed work plans, comprehensive project documentation, including training, processes and workflows, and reports to MCO partners, Internal Avesis directors and staff
- Develop effective and professional client relationship for long term commitments
- Ability to provide technical support to the implementation teams to ensure tasks are completed effectively within required timeframe
- Works closely with project sponsors and business owners to ensure all federal, state and health plan requirements are complete, accurate and measurable
- Ability to manage any necessary project related escalations to meet timeline requirements and client expectations throughout the project implementation
- Ensure that any implementation change requests are assessed for impact to schedule and resources, and that they are approved by governance committee and implemented, if applicable
- Responsible to perform quality audit of specific deliverables prior to providing to the MCO entity
- Identifies, tracks, and manages all implementation RADIQ items (Risks, actions, decisions, issues and questions) performing risks analysis and assist in development of risk contingency plans to resolve all RADIQ items
- Ability to drive all State and internal readiness review deliverables to ensure meeting prior to implementation go live
- Perform oversight assessments after Go-live to ensure all Operational and technical areas are meeting requirements, SLAs, TATs, etc.
- Responsible for identifying lessons learned and executing process improvement projects after every implementation by creating risk assessments and working closely with the Director of Implementations/Sr. Implementation Manager and Avesis department heads for quality improvement efforts every quarter.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 4 years' work experience
- Minimum of 3+ years Account/Project Management experience
- Previous Healthcare experience
- Knowledge of Managed Care, Medicare and Medicaid, Exchange and Commercial Health Plans
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with Smartsheet or project management software
- Strong relationship building skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to coordinate multiple tasks within the project with changing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels within a Company
- Proven Project Management skills
- As this role is a remote role, you are required to maintain internet service that allows you to complete your essential job duties without issue. Rates of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload while hardwired and not on a VPN are sufficient.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Managed Care Organizations
- Implemented Medicaid and Medicare programs

FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt
National Salary Range: $61,360 - $96,040
