What will you be doing?
We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner in Canada to oversee HR Operations for our Canadian Business, while also providing support to our corporate function teams. This role is responsible for managing day to day HR activities, including employee relations, policy implementation, talent processes, and compliance. You’ll be the go – to HR person for the Canadian employee lifecycle, while supporting the smooth global operation of our corporate functions, collaborating with various teams and stakeholders. This is a hands-on role that requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Employee Experience: Lead the Canada culture team and partner with global vertical leadership teams to ensure there is a great culture, employee engagement and employee experience in Canada.
- HR Cycle: Partner with the VP, HR Global Functions, HR COE’s and corporate vertical leadership teams to support the execution of talent and DEI processes, including workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, career development, and employee engagement and DEI initiatives.
- Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures. Proactively address and resolve workplace issues and conflicts, in compliance with local employment laws while promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle: Provide oversight and leadership of Canada employee lifecycle HR administration.
- Industrial Relations: Implement local and global programs, policies and processes while ensuring they are compliant with local regulation requirements.
- Compensation and Benefits: Partner with the Corporate Functions Vertical Lead HRBP and North America Total Rewards team to ensure compliant compensation and benefits programs for the country. Support the Annual Salary and Bonus review process for the corporate functions, and partner with other HRBP Leads with vertical employees located in Canada.
- Change Management: Support HR change management initiatives related to organizational restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and other business transformations. Provide support to leaders and employees during periods of change to minimize disruption and foster a positive transition.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure HR practices comply with local employment laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures to maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilize HR metrics, data, and analytics to provide insights and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of HR experience, with a strong background in HR Generalist activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience managing employee relations, performance management, policy implementation and compliance.
- Experience working within a global matrixed company is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Knowledge of Alberta, Ontario, and US labor laws is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic HR planning and execution.
- Proven track record of implementing HR policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Global mindset and willingness to collaborate.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Ability to think out of the box and propose creative solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other HR tools and technologies.
- CPHR/CRHA designation a plus.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 CAD.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay and we offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
