As a Compensation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing compensation strategies that align with organizational goals. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary:
    • HR Specialist: Hourly: $28.50-36.10, plus annual bonus opportunity
    • SR HR Specialist: Annual Salary: $74,000-90,000 plus annual bonus opportunity
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2025, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2025, which is prorated based on the start date.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Analyze compensation and competitive data, including market benchmarks and internal factors, to evaluate equity and competitiveness and support total rewards programs.
  • Manage salary survey data, ensuring timely submission and organization to maintain accurate compensation benchmarks.
  • Utilize data modeling and analytics to assess the effectiveness of compensation programs and provide data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Design and present dashboards, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders, including executives and HR leaders, to drive informed decision-making.
  • Support the design, implementation, communication and administration of incentive, pay, and recognition programs while ensuring compliance with compensation-related regulations.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Previous experience as an HR Compensation Specialist preferably with a Total Rewards background and CCP designation or willingness to obtain designation
  • Strong written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights and recommendations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools (e.g., Visier)
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and able to work both independently and in teams
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work at our home office located in Omaha, Nebraska, in a hybrid environment

PREFERRED:

  • Familiarity with financial reports and insurance business processes
  • Experience with deferred compensation
  • CBP or CEBS designation
