We’re looking for an HR Advisor – Recruiting, to join our HR Talent Team. This role is ideal for a recruiter who is based out of Edmonton as it supports recruitment for our divisions in High Level, High Prairie and Slave Lake in Alberta and Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • University degree in Business or Commerce; Human Resources and/or Marketing preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading full cycle recruitment, preferably in manufacturing/primary industry.
  • Proven sourcing and candidate pipeline development/management skills in a wide range of leadership, professional and technical roles, particularly for remote communities.
  • Advanced relationship building and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to think creatively.
  • Superior interviewing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with teams.
  • Ability to travel to site as needed.
  • Proficient with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR Information Systems.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead all recruitment activities for salaried roles within our Alberta and Saskatchewan mills.
  • Design and manage recruitment marketing campaigns leveraging specialized job boards, social media (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) and other online and print media outlets.
  • Participate in career fairs and campus recruitment initiatives to promote Tolko's employment brand.
  • Source candidates and develop candidate pipelines.
  • Manage the candidate experience.
  • Manage third party search firms, including international search firms as required.
  • Coordinate candidate assessment and preemployment verifications.
  • Support leaders in the offer and negotiation process.
