Head of Front Office Technology

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Front Office Systems to lead our team in managing and optimizing our critical Salesforce platform and marketing systems. Reporting to the Vice President, Enterprise Applications & Technology, this Director-level role will be instrumental in driving the strategic vision and execution for our front office technology ecosystem. You will be responsible for ensuring the platform's stability, scalability, security, and alignment with business objectives. This includes overseeing a high-performing team of Salesforce Architects, Platform Engineers, and other technical resources, while collaborating closely with Salesforce Analysts embedded within our business verticals. A key focus of this role will be driving the adoption of AI, including Agentic AI, within our front office systems. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of our front office technology and contribute significantly to our continued growth. This position will be part of the CIO Organization.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall strategy for our Salesforce platform and marketing systems, aligning with business goals and maximizing ROI. This includes a clear vision for AI adoption and integration.
- Platform Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of the Salesforce platform, including integrations, customizations, security (ITGC compliance), performance optimization, SaaS releases, and change management.
- AI Adoption: Lead the strategy and implementation of AI initiatives within the front office, including exploring and deploying Agentic AI solutions to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Salesforce Architects, Platform Engineers, and other technical staff. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner closely with business stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to understand their needs and translate them into effective technology solutions. Communicate effectively with executive leadership on platform performance, roadmap, and budget.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with Salesforce and other relevant vendors, ensuring service level agreements are met and maximizing value.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for front office systems, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and security policies, including IT General Controls (ITGC) for the Salesforce platform.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest Salesforce, marketing technology, and AI trends, identifying opportunities to leverage new features and capabilities to improve business processes.
Skills and Experience Needed for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in managing and implementing Salesforce platforms, with a strong focus on enterprise-level deployments.
- Proven leadership experience (typically 7+ years) in managing technical teams and driving successful outcomes.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and other relevant modules.
- Experience with Salesforce integrations, customizations, and security best practices, including ITGC compliance.
- Strong understanding of marketing automation platforms and their integration with Salesforce.
- Experience with AI technologies and a demonstrated ability to drive AI adoption within business applications. Experience with Agentic AI is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technology solutions.
- Experience managing budgets and vendors.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Salesforce Certified Architect) are highly desirable
Where: This position is a remote/hybrid position located in the US.
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $180,000 to $200,000 USD with an annual bonus incentives in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
