THE ROLE
We’re on the hunt for a Head of E-commerce to lead and elevate our DTC and Amazon channels. This isn’t just a role—it’s your chance to be the architect of Pangaea’s next big growth story, managing dynamic teams across our DTC and Amazon channels while working hand in hand with Growth, Engineering, Operations, and Brand Marketing. You’ll craft and execute powerhouse strategies that amplify revenue, hook customers, and elevate our brands’ digital experiences, ensuring a top notch end-to-end consumer experience at every touchpoint. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute a dynamic, all-encompassing e-commerce strategy to drive growth and increase market share. Define all online experience strategies and priorities for the organization.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to own the digital roadmap including A/B testing, new capabilities, and establishing a UX/UI vision.
- Lead business strategies across areas of responsibility including sales & forecasting, site merchandising, assortment planning, pricing and promotions, site content & SEO while also acting as a key liaison to cross functional partners such as finance and operations.
- Drive online sales growth by implementing effective merchandising, content strategies, targeted promotions, and compelling customer experiences. Utilize insights from sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to make informed, data-driven decisions that optimize revenue.
- Oversee lifecycle marketing and holistic retention efforts to drive customer loyalty and engagement including E-mail/SMS, CRM, loyalty, and referral programs
- Create and implement strategies to boost sales, enhance brand visibility, optimize search and content, and improve product rankings across Amazon search results.
- Manage Amazon product listings by ensuring accurate and engaging product descriptions, images, and content that enhance the customer experience and drive conversions.
- Spearhead Amazon acquisition strategy to maximize reach and sales volume including SEO/SEM, PPC, display ads, and affiliate marketing. and have a deep understanding of Amazon advertising strategies to maximize reach and sales.
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a high-performing team, driving success across all platforms. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Empower the team to collaboratively achieve monthly goals and drive success.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive experience in e-commerce and accompanying reporting tools including but not limited to: Shopify Plus, its integrations, Klaviyo/Attentive and other CRM tools, and reporting tools such as Google Analytics and/or Amplitude.
- Preference for candidates with subscription DTC experience as well as global e-commerce experience, including managing Amazon platforms internationally.
- In-depth understanding of the eCommerce digital ecosystem, including web applications, site merchandising, SEO, email marketing, and KPI reporting.
- Exceptional analytical abilities with a talent for translating complex data into actionable, strategic decisions.
- Experience in conversion rate optimization (CRO) and developing and managing the user experience roadmap
- Deep understanding of the Amazon marketplace ecosystem from a detailed, technical perspective as well as proven results growing an Amazon business
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The reasonably estimated annual base salary for this role ranges from $165,000.00 - $180,000.00 and will include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and location. Details of participation in benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

- Health insurance: Pangaea offers medical, dental, and vision insurance plans. Out of three amazing medical plans, we cover 100% for the first plan for employees and 90% of the monthly premium for two higher coverage plans. We also provide 75% of the monthly premium for family coverage.
- 401(k) matching: After a 3-month waiting period, Pangaea will match up to 4% of the employee's elected contribution to their retirement plan.
- Time off: Pangaea recognizes 14 paid holidays per year. We also have 6 additional “Pangaea Fridays” throughout the year where employees can get a head start on their weekend and take the whole day off. Lastly, we have a flexible time off policy and trust our employees to take vacation when they need it!
- Staff discount: All staff members are given $100 of credit per month to use on Pangaea products so that they can try, own (and love!) all the products we sell.
