As the Head of aT1D Early Detection, you are a seasoned leader with a proven history of driving performance and executional excellence. You have deep experience in specialty care or rare disease marketplace and account management.
This team is responsible to clinically educate, increase the awareness of T1D stages and educate accounts on how to activate the identification of at-risk patients through screening. You will collaborate closely with your team to ensure physicians understand the importance of accelerating the early identification of at-risk Type 1 Diabetes patients and referring those patients to specialists when and where appropriate.
In this role, you will report into the US Head Customer Engagement and will be a key member of the national leadership team. You will be a key strategic leader and partner with Marketing, Medical, Market Access and Patient Support Services to ensure effective development and execution of the strategy, operational plan and measuring execution. This role will also partner closely with internal functional leadership teams to address training, targeting/call planning, analytics, and incentive compensation.
You will lead a team of 9 Regional Business Directors and 91 Area Business Managers.
This role will have the responsibility of leading a multi-level organization and recruiting/hiring and retaining top talent within the organization and continued development of these team members to position them for promotion or transition to key roles within the organization. S/he will work with their Regional Business Directors with performance reviews where they discuss and offer strategies for employee improvement in certain areas or recognize and reward subordinates for their efforts and accomplishments.

Main Responsibilities:
Leads a high-performance management team of Regional Business Directors and Area Business Managers to achieve business objectives and strengthen team performance.
Develops and implements effective strategies to continuously elevate the account identification, prioritization and understanding based on the use of strong analytics and deep qualitative insights. Develops growth-oriented area account & business plans that demonstrate strong resource allocation decisions and reflect the strategic choices.
Coaches the Regional Business Director and establishes a culture of accountability and high performance. Defines key performance indicators, ensure proper targeting of key customers, patient channel engagement and clear expectations of collaboration and execution of the screening strategy with all internal and external stakeholders.
Provides strategy on a hub-and-spoke model to your team and coaches RBDs in mapping and corresponding execution of it. Creates a broad network of patient identification close to priority accounts.
Facilitates projects and initiatives at the national level to optimize the team's performance.
Demonstrates effective communication, collaboration, and leadership with all necessary stakeholders (TZIELD field team, Marketing, Business Operations, Field Reimbursement, and members of Patient Support Services)
Builds and sustains an empowering, inspirational, and agile culture, leading to a high level of engagement and retention of top talent.
Maintains strict adherence to all legal, compliance, regulatory, ethical, administrative, and financial duties.
Achieves and exceeds assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual business objectives.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years in sales/sales leadership roles and/or other commercial leadership (e.g., marketing, market access)
Experience selling and/or leading sales teams in a complex network (e.g. Integrated and complex health systems, matrix coordination and communication)
At least 5+ years of Senior level leadership roles with expanded people management responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to translate marketing strategy into field sales execution
Strong analytics, strategic planning, and account management skills
Executive communication skills, ability to communicate to audiences of varied sizes and levels, both US and global
Proven experience launching products in the specialty care, rare disease, or type 1 diabetes market
Sanofi US is only considering candidates who are currently legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary with additional travel required within the assigned region or nation.
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in the therapeutic areas of Type 1 diabetes, rare disease, or specialty care
5+ Experience in account based commercial approach with strong account management experience
Experience in launching products, expanded indications, and developing /leading sales teams
2-4 years of Experience in pharmaceutical marketing and / or work developing marketing strategies specific to customer channel needs
MBA or other relevant advanced degree

The salary range for this position is $225,000.00 - $300,000.00 USD Annually. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
