Job Description Summary

The Director of Walmart Inc. will be responsible for the sales of all Go Go SqueeZ branded and potential private label products to Walmart and Sam’s Club and for achieving key company objectives including sales volume, market share, and profit.  The position will involve the day-to-day ownership of our selling relationship with the primary category merchant at both Walmart and Sam’s Club as well as leadership and management of our marketing efforts with WMC and MAP.  This position will function as our corporate’s primary representative for Walmart Inc., having a high degree of autonomy and accountability for the development of both Walmart Inc. customers and the securing of new business opportunities by driving business growth and strong business partnerships.

 

 

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Strategic implementation and execution of Walmart Inc. go-to-market approach, including quantification and prioritization of opportunities, route to market, commercialization, and deliverables of new business.
  • Owns initiatives to capitalize on Go Go SqueeZ strategic pillars healthier snacking categories
  • Owns JBP negotiations with Sam’s Club and Walmart Media
  • Ensures every execution of sales plans and marketing programs
  • Work with the cross-functional innovation team to commercialize the right product in the right pack for each of the Walmart Inc. customers
  • Deliver assigned volume and trade spend targets for Walmart Inc. annually
  • Demonstrate superior demand forecasting for Walmart Inc.
  • Oversee and provide clear direction of the Go Go SqueeZ sales and marketing activities to the Walmart Inc. direct report and customers 
  • Provide thought leadership into the development of the Sales Organization strategic initiatives; align professional and team objectives with the sales organization’s goals and vision
  • Proven collaborative ways of working to drive channel initiatives and team alignment on go forward strategic execution
  • Participates & leads in key sales calls including top-to-top meetings
  • Demonstration of business maturity, impeccable personal integrity, and a commitment to on-going individual professional development
  • Must possess a presence that fosters positive interactions within all levels of Bel Brands, and customers
  • Identify and attend key industry and customer events
  • Ability to analyze the competitive landscape, define a course of action and meet the needs of Walmart and Sam’s Club
  • Is a solid strategic thinker who can decisively prioritize competing demands and assess multiple outcomes with limited information
  • Aggressively identify and pursue white space within Walmart and Sam’s Club with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Build distribution and profitable sales by creating and managing the execution of a strategic sales plan.

 

 

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum degree and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years successful food sales experience, 3 years of Walmart sales experience. 
  • Sales experience with other customers or channels preferred. 
  • Successful track record of planning, executing, and maximizing financial budget.

Systems

  • Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint required; along with the ability to understand/analyze syndicated data.
  • Experience with TPM/TPO systems & planning

Working Conditions:  Work is performed both on the road as well as in a home office environment.  Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours and average at least 40 hours a week.  There will be some variation in work hours due to, sales calls, broker planning meetings, special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Travel will be required as business needs dictate

PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must reside in Bentonville, Arkansas working remotely from home and traveling as needed.
  • Must be able to work 8 hours per day.
  • Willing to Travel up to 30% of the time.

 

 

TOTAL REWARDS

Base Salary: $180,000 – $200,000

Bonus potential: 25%
