Global Lead, Construction Quality, Amazon Corporate Security

You will join a team of security professionals who are responsible for managing Amazon’s Corporate Security programs worldwide. The high-visibility position will report to the Global Head of Security Technology. This security professional will be responsible for delivering ACS’s promise of a safe and secure work environment for all Amazonians by ensuring our new sites are launched in accordance with our standards, and our existing sites are continually measured against our high security bar. You will visit construction sites and meet with key stakeholders, and visit existing sites to perform testing and recommissioning activities.
You will be responsible for developing tactical relationships with internal stakeholders such as Global Real Estate and Facilities, IT, and Corporate Security, as well as external stakeholders including security vendors to execute a unique aspect of the Security Technology program. You will be expected to leverage these relationships to execute responses to issues both routine and unique, and develop processes to continuously raise the security construction bar.
Key job responsibilities
Provide guidance to on-site teams during site construction, to ensure processes are understood and followed by all relevant stakeholders, including construction personnel, security installers, and other applicable trades
Visit construction sites on an as-needed basis, to provide additional on-site support when warranted by construction progress, schedules, or complexity of the installation.
Develop working-level relationships with recurring stakeholders, which may include general contractors, installers, and internal/external project managers
Periodically visit existing sites to perform on-site testing, recommissioning, and updates as needed. Develop a priority list for these visits through engagement with ACS leadership
Seek ways to continually improve construction standards and testing procedures, and communicate those improvements to relevant stakeholders
Provide insights to other ACS teams that will help inform design standards, construction means and methods, and software development that may be used to automate routine tasks
A day in the life
A typical day for this fast-paced role will involve ensuring the successful launch of Amazon corporate sites. You may assist with complex installation complications or device issues and engage other stakeholders when necessary. You will serve as a key escalation point for tactical project management teams and will be responsible for communicating to those customers clearly and transparently. You will prioritize visits to existing corporate locations for testing and recommissioning activities, based on direction from leadership or impact to Amazonians.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time with little or no notice.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
