Job Description

The Sourcing Lead Consultant strategically sources and leads a combination of assignments and commodities/categories of high complexity and risk, in support of Sourcing & Procurement Solutions (SPS) and client objectives. This role has responsibility to manage relationships by anticipating changing business conditions and consulting with key clients by coordinating and/or leading sourcing/project teams and advisory boards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of the Supplier Performance Management (SPM) process for assigned commodities including contract inventory, segmentation, risk assessments, contingency planning and validation of right pricing

• Develop and execute an overarching category strategy and plan for applicable categories

• Negotiate contract terms and perform all aspects of the contract process

• Proactively assess sourcing and category opportunities by gathering spend information, company purchasing patterns, competitive position, structured analysis of supplier/category industry, economics, market conditions, and expiring contracts to make recommendations based on these findings

• Lead discussions with internal clients, expense managers, and key stakeholders to develop and implement demand management guidelines to govern the use of assigned commodities

• Conduct business reviews with suppliers and internal clients to measure supplier performance, contract adherence and participate in issue resolution

• Document supplier performance measurements that ensure achievement of client goals

• Create and implement SPM plan and internal compliance standards and measurements

• Measure and management internal compliance with demand management guidelines and take corrective actions as appropriate

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 5 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $78,600.00 - 142,275.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
