We are in search of a Full Stack Java Developer to join a high performing agile team to support a nationally significant development program. The program is using test automation tools alongside a full suite of team collaboration tools. Program execution follows DevOps best practices and employs robust development, test, and production environments. The program provides system engineering, development, test, integration, and operational support to a large, fast-paced program, and is developing infusing new technology and adding advanced capabilities while continuing to support an on-going mission and operational system.

The Challenge:

  • Decompose and manage requirements.

  • Create detailed design documentation.

  • Develop technical designs for application development.

  • Write well designed testable code.

  • Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.

  • Manage Java and Java EE application development.

  • Develop documentation to help users.

  • Prepare and help produce releases of software components.

  • Support continuous improvement, investigating alternatives and technologies, and presenting for architectural review.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Must be able to perform the responsibilities listed above.

  • BS degree or equivalent experience and 4+ years experience as a full stack java developer.

  • Must be proficient in writing well designed and testable code.

  • Must be familiar with the software development kits (SDKs).

  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of relevant industry trends and standards.

  • Must demonstrate strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.

You Might Also Have:

  • 10 or more years overall IT experience.

  • Experience with Mongo DB, desired.

  • Experience with Microservices, desired.

  • Experience with Databricks, desired.

  • Excellent coding skills either Python or Scala, preferably Python.

  • Experience working on projects in an IRS/Treasury environment.

  • A certification in Agile methodology, a plus.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Candidates must be able to pass an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) security background check prior to start date. 

  • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant if not, candidate will not be considered.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
