Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity within our Finance team at DTN! We are seeking an FP&A Analyst to provide analytical support for current and future financial planning, reporting, and trend analysis. The ideal candidate will embrace technical innovation and effectively present financial data to senior stakeholders.
About the role:
As our FP&A Analyst, you will collaborate with the Finance team on activities related to financial planning and analysis. You will assist in managing and enhancing reporting systems to produce information for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses. Additionally, you will help prepare variance commentary, conduct reporting and reviews, and support presentation and project preparation efforts to the senior leadership team.
What you will be responsible for:
Assists in the budget and forecasting process.
Utilizes established tools to assist with financial planning and control.
Documents analysis to understand company performance.
Supports analysis of financial plans, acquisition activity, future requirements, and operating forecasts.
Assists with ad hoc financial analysis.
Creates basic reports and conducts analysis, following standard business practices and procedures.
What you will bring to the role:
Prior background in Finance.
A self-starter mentality, taking initiative and actively seeking out information to drive and communicate financial insights and building reports and presentations.
Excellent communication skills in written, verbal, and visual languages.
An eye for process improvements, automation, and embracing new reporting technologies.
Budgeting and forecasting skills and knowledge of variance analysis.
Have a logical approach and the ability to multitask.
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excel expertise.
