Overview
The Formulary Systems Coordinator is responsible for maintaining formulary and utilization management services that impact client cost savings and enhance patient outcomes. The Formulary Systems Coordinator works closely with the Plan Administration, Clinical Hub, and Clinical Operations teams to ensure appropriate dispensing and utilization of medications. The Formulary Systems Coordinator is also responsible for creating processes and solutions to support continuous quality improvement and address internal and external needs.
Our Pharmacy group focuses on providing exceptional customer service and meeting the pharmacy needs for hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, and other specialized care centers nationwide.
Applicants must be a Licensed Pharmacist within the state they reside.
This position is remote with 10% travel. Applicants can reside anyhere within the Continental USA.

Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Clinical Services team, implements formulary and utilization management initiatives to enhance existing programs and support development of new programs to meet customer’s needs
- Develops, maintains, and communicates formulary updates per project plan. Ensure tasks are completed accurately and delivered in a timely fashion
- In collaboration with the Plan Administration team, supports maintenance of product files
- Responsible for supporting development, implementation, maintenance, and communication of the Therapeutic Interchange and Global Authorization program updates to drive client savings
- In collaboration with the Clinical Hub team, supports development and maintenance of programs to enhance formulary and utilization management services
- Develops and maintains processes to ensure accurate implementation of medication formulary coverage and edits to align with third party and client contract agreements and support culture of continuous quality improvement
- Provides analytical services support for clients in collaboration with Account Management with an emphasis on using data to discover and present actionable clinical and cost-containment opportunities
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards
Qualifications
- Pharmacy Degree preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in managed care or healthcare informatics preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Ability to effectively organize and present to internal and external audiences.
** To perform this position will require frequently sitting, standing, walking and typing on a keyboard with fingers and occasionally reaching. The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 21-30 lbs**
