Finished Fuels Additives Product Portfolio Manager for Downstream Chemicals is responsible for the respective product portfolio to develop/execute the strategy, strengthen brand equity, and drive return on technology investment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall health of the respective products & services, working alongside other functional disciplines. The responsibilities of this role include strategic investment decisions, go-to-market strategy, development of product marketing materials, and support of production processes for the product portfolio.

As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Accountable for the portfolio’s functional, business, and financial performance of Downstream Chemicals products portfolio, specifically finished fuel additives.
  • Leads global portfolio management, and is responsible for executing strategy, product portfolio optimization and lifecycle.  
  • Provides a high level of support for the product portfolio, including automation applications, key technical and product performance information.
  • Collaborates with sales & commercial, and marketing to deploy the strategy for both established and new products.
  • Delivers business growth through New Product Introduction (NPI), Advanced Technology Development, Service, and Productivity initiatives.
  • Leads the NPI planning and delivers commercial success in coordination with commercial, operations, and technology stakeholders for global regions.
  • Leads in Stage Gate product and technology development teams, including documentation as required for gate meetings.
  • Plans and designs platform strategies for short term/long-term product positioning and business impact.
  • Works with Supply Chain to identify and create supply strategies and cost targets.
  • Represents the organization in outside discussions, customers, and technical forums.
  • Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Health Safety and Environmental policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Core Values.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/science discipline or higher academic degree and 8+ years of cross-functional, sales and operations, and/or technology leadership experience
  • 10+ years of operations experience in Downstream finished fuel additives technology, products, applications, and services.  
  • Solid experience in technical support or sales/operations/technology
  • Highly experienced in Program, Project, and/or Product Management.

The annual pay scale for this position is between $147,600.00 - $287,200.00.

Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes’ good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the pay range/scale depends on a variety of factors, including, for example, geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time. Please keep in mind that the range stated above is the full base salary range for the role and does not include other forms of compensation. Coverage options and contribution amounts are related to your benefit elections, base salary level, and specific requirements of each of these plans.

You will be eligible to participate in the Baker Hughes FullStream Short-term incentive program applicable for the above position.  The actual payout for your short-term incentive award will be based on company and individual performance and is contingent upon Baker Hughes achieving pre-determined financial results.
