By building a super app, our goal is to be the one stop shop for everything related to food.

Chowbus is hiring a diversified analyst that can make an impact on both the Accounting and FP&A functions within the Finance team. This role will support the overall finance function. The ideal candidate will have a diversified financial experience with more specific technical experiences in either Accounting or FP&A. We are growing, and as Chowbus scales, there is room to grow into either finance discipline. Looking for a detail-oriented, Excel rockstar, and prefer start-up experience with exposure to SaaS and/or a high-transaction fintech environment.

What You'll Focus On

  • Accounting Responsibilities
    • Accounts Payable Management - New vendor setup, processing invoices, track payment due dates and monitor AP Aging
    • Expense Processing - Manage Airbase expense processing ensuring accurate and timely submission and approval of employee expense reports
    • Perform monthly bank account reconciliations and match banking transactions to NetSuite on a weekly basis
    • Prepare monthly journal entries for restaurant earnings and payout
  • FP&A Responsibilities 
    • Support building monthly forecasts, budgets and long-term financial plans.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and understand variances to key metrics
    • Look for areas to improve FP&A accuracy and models

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA or CPA Progression preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, accounting or a related field 
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency with financial software and advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of NetSuite, Airbase, and/or Stripe an added bonus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation. Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented, with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
